We want to thank the Grace House Family for the generous love and support they have shown towards our fellow Americans in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The supplies collected from the congregation were transported by trucks, trailers, helicopters, and ATV’s throughout many of the hardest hit areas in North Carolina. Hundreds of residents and volunteers are still being blessed with meals, shelter, and are being brought comfort with the items you all donated. Monetary donations are being used to purchase heaters, propane refills, fuel for transportation, equipment, and tools used for debris removal and reconstruction.
We were invited into the homes of residents to help remove salvageable generations of memories before their homes were to be demolished. We worked alongside volunteers from all over the country who were renovating churches of all denominations. Sanctuaries and classrooms were converted into distribution centers filled with emergency supplies. Streets were lined with pop up tents where those that have lost everything could receive hot meals and medical attention. We saw firsthand devastation in its truest form. We also saw the hands and feet of Jesus as His children worked tirelessly to help these communities resume a sense of normalcy. Thank you, Grace House, for being a part of that!
