We love Grace House and are so thankful for all of our small groups! The Couples for Christ
small group is an example of one type of small group where you develop a deeper community
because it meets in homes (we take turns) and it is on-going and kept intentionally small.
Tim and I started the Couples for Christ small group in the Spring of 2020 with Dana and
Derrick Wallace. This was during Covid restrictions and we all felt the need to continue
gathering together as the Body of Christ. At first we all played games and got to know each
other better. The Wallaces and we took turns hosting. It was such a blessing getting to meet
together while so many were out of work and school that we just kept going! We encouraged
each other with community as we all brought a dish to share, fellowship and then have a small
teaching and prayer time. At that time the group was 5-7 couples. We put a limit on the size to
keep the intimacy we had developed. Gatherings of all sizes are wonderful, but we in this group
wanted to keep it intentionally small and develop closer regular friendships. Over the years
we’ve done a lot of praying and doing life together through 2 elections now, elderly parent care
and dying, grandchildren being born, buying and selling houses, and much more.
