This is how Meriam-Webster describes the word, but those of us who have participated in this small group called KOINONIA know all this and so much more. Our goal is to build relationships with each other as we build relationships with Jesus. It's working!
In these (First Friday) monthly meetings, held in our home, we've shared with as few as 8 and as many as 26, but the feeling is always the same. We dine together with a variety of foods then we spend time in His presence with worship, the Word, and sharing our thoughts with each other. There is no agenda, no formal teaching, and not many rules. We just enjoy His presence and the presence of each other. Mr. Webster has this part right..." intimate communion and participative sharing in a common commitment..."!
