Grace House Children's Ministry

By Kristin Melo

We are having such a wonderful time at Grace House Kids. We started our school year off with Pop Up Sunday. All our preschool classes moved up a class. Also, our 1st graders moved up to our Elementary class. We had a Sunday full of Pop-Up surprises with popcorn for snack and a gift bag with all things that pop in it. All the children had so much fun.

Beginning on Wednesday nights, I started teaching a series to our Elementary class called “I’m A Christian Now.” This series was a six-week class teaching the basics of a Christian life. The children learned about Baptism, Communion, the importance of attending church, knowing how to share Jesus with their friends, how to keep a prayer journal, and praying for the sick. All the kids enjoyed it. Several of the children were baptized during the time of our study. We also had some children give testimony of being healed when we prayed for their healing. It was a great series full of learning and activation.

Our children are now preparing for the most wonderful time of year. We are all excited to be working hard on our Christmas program, Manger Throne. We hope you can join us to worship with us on Sunday, December 8th at the 10:00 service. We are looking forward to celebrating this Christmas season with our Grace House family.
